Magda Szyma is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) and member of Speech Pathology Australia.

Magda holds a Master in Speech Language Pathology, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (First class) majoring in Linguistics and French from the University of Sydney. Magda is also a CELTA qualified teacher of English as a second language.

Magda can communicate in 3 languages: English, Polish and French and she enjoys learning about other languages spoken in the community.

Prior to setting up her mobile speech pathology practice, Magda worked with children with disabilities in the not-for-profit sector, and she worked with children in mainstream schools in the private sector. She has also tutored undergraduate speech pathology students at Sydney University. Throughout her experience as a Speech Pathologist, Magda has seen the benefits of collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals in children’s lives. She continues to provide this coordinated care in her mobile practice with the child’s best interest at heart. A mother of three, Magda knows how to keep therapy fun and engaging!

Committed to delivering the most efficacious, up-to-date evidence-based interventions, Magda regularly engages in professional development activities. She uses her knowledge of a range of programs including Sounds-Write, Talk for Writing, Lidcombe Program, PECS, Visualising and Verbalising, Makaton, Voicecraft, and the principles of Hanen in tailored intervention to suit the specific needs of each child and their family.
